What is Contact Tagging?

What is Contact Tagging? Why would you use contact tagging? What is the value in tagging your contacts?

Contact Tagging can be viewed as a free form sort of categorization. You add descriptive terms to your contacts and over time you will be able to group and cluster your contacts into marketing segments based on these tags. For example, you might tag one contact as a buyer, a former Marine, a veteran, and as a hiker. As you add other contacts and tag them with these descriptive terms you will find overlaps between contacts. At this point you can begin to craft specific marketing messages just for these groups.

You might create a special email thanking all of the veterans in your list for their service, using tags it would be easy to send this message to just that group of people. Another example would be to tag mothers and fathers and then create special mailings on mothers and fathers day. Using contact tagging you could easily target just the mothers and fathers to get that mailing.

Contact tagging within the Agent Sauce Real Estate CRM and Marketing Automation platform is a powerful tool that can be used to target your marketing and help you reach the right contact at the right time.

Some tags that real estate agents might use.

  • Contact Source
  • Hobbies
  • Buyer/Seller
  • Income Range
  • Military Service/Veteran
  • School Affiliations
  • Neighborhood
  • Favorite Sports Team
  • Organization Memberships

While the above is a good list to get you started the best thing about contact tagging in the Agent Sauce Real Estate CRM is that you can customize and personalize it your business needs. Each agent is able to use contact tagging in a way that works best for them.

This look interesting, but not sure how this really compares to some other CRM systems since there are quite a few.

Contact Tagging is just one aspect of the CRM. The real differentiator for Agent Sauce is that each of our plans include lead generation and marketing automation features such as email marketing, an automated monthly newsletter, drip marketing, e-cards, text message marketing, virtual tours, social media posts and more.
